4.30 am Got up anchor and went alongside coal
hulk "William Fairbairn" commenced coaling and continued
till 4 am Sunday Morning




 

Owned by edward bates and son870-1878 William Fairbairn (1856), iron fullrigged ship. Liverpool Journal ships for sale 1877 Iron ship, WILLIAM FAIRBAIRN, 1293 Tons, built at Birkenhead by Messers LAIRD, 1856.   On 01 January 1903, William Fairbairn was lost off Goode Island, Torres Strait.
